In addition to the central refinery in Balkh, the Afghan Yasini industrial complex operates a strategic storage facility in the Aqina port terminal. With a capacity exceeding one thousand tons, this modern hub is exclusively designed and equipped for the standardized storage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), playing a pivotal role in ensuring energy stability and facilitating transit trade across the country’s northern borders
The Afghan Yasini complex, with a $50 million investment and 3,000-ton storage capacity for Oil and LPG at the Hairatan port, manages the complete energy supply chain. Alongside the Balkh refinery, this key infrastructure ensures a continuous fuel supply meeting ASTM standards and creates 1,100 jobs, playing a vital role in reducing import dependency and advancing Afghanistan’s industrial independence.
